Licence terms

The deal

These terms are between you and To be completed: Your name or business name. By installing or using Typestead you agree to them. Last updated 30 October 2026.

Free trial

After you sign in, every feature is free for 7 days. When the trial ends the editor locks until you buy. You can always export unsaved drafts, and your files remain ordinary files on your device.

Buying Typestead

Typestead is a one-time purchase through Google Play (or the App Store for the iPhone app). There is no subscription. The purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on up to two devices signed in with the same account.

Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policies. If a purchase is refunded, the licence ends.

Fair use

• Don't share, resell or rent your licence.
• Don't modify, crack or redistribute the app, or try to get around the trial, the device limit or the licence checks.
• Don't attack, overload or probe the licence server.

Your content

Everything you write in Typestead is yours. We never receive it.

No warranty

We work hard to make Typestead reliable, but it is provided “as is”. Keep backups of important files. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the price you paid. To be completed: Have this clause reviewed for your country

Ending

You can stop using Typestead and delete your account at any time. We may end a licence that breaks these terms.

Governing law
